actually my son did do this except 3 11yr old were picking on his 4yr old sister so he beat up all 3 so I brought him to McDonald's and let him get whatever he wanted
My son did the same thing, helping a student with Down syndrome. A boy was pushing him around and my son punched him and knocked him down. The principal calls and kicks my son out of school , he said it’s a zero tolerance policy. I said well , he won’t be punished for it here. Matter of fact, I’ll tell him he did a good job. The principal said, I don’t blame you and I understand, but it’s policy. I said it’s a poor policy

my son , many years ago, was in the same scenario. One of his friends was being bullied. ( Now, understand I've told,/raised my children. That you should only fight to protect what is right. And not to start any fights). So my youngest son intervened. Down side, he was 10 years old and a black belt in TE kwan do. Also the state champion for his age at the time. Did not end well for Billy. He got suspend for 3 days for fighting. But I told him that I was proud of him for standing up for what was right. I took off work those 3 days just to do fun things with him. Ironically, he is a police officer now. I'm proud for him
This happened to my son in school. I went to school and told them since when do you not punish a bully. My son is 42 now. I told him I was proud of him to help a classmate who could not defend himself. My son just picked up the bully off of his friend n stood there to continue to protect him n did what his instructor had taught him to do in classes. His body language did all the defending. No one bother his friend again. They were going to suspend my son I just used words n body language also. Plus I said if they do suspend my son I’d get a lawyer . my son had back up from students n parents so he wasn’t suspended. The only way to stop bullies is to defend yourself.
My dad always told me that I better not start a fight, but I better finish it if provoked....
Well the government is now in control of kids not parents kids are unruly since the 90's.

😁 I had seven children I told them all if a kid keeps aggravating you more than three times and you've had enough and you can't convince him to leave you alone when he hits on you you retaliate but you make sure that you do it real good so he won't want to come back for more because they're going to punish you even though you're defending yourself anyway the idea is to get him to decide not to do it again there's nothing wrong with your defending yourself is everything wrong with the school can't support you

we were at a public event, a bully was picking on my 11yr Olds friend, he told him to stop. bully asked him "what you going to do about it?" my 11yr old kick him in the nutz then bloody his nose!! I took him for pizza!! 😆😆😆😆😆😆
Words can also be violent and schools should have a no bully rule that gets the same discipline as a fight!

My grandson stood up to a boy bullying his best friend last day of school. School called his mom and saiid to take him home so he didn’t ’t have to stay alone in a room all day. I was proud of him sticking up for his friend!

My Dad taught me to not throw that first punch. He also taught me to 'see' that a punch would be coming my way.

I taught school in a really small rural area of TN. I absolutely couldn't stand that rule of being punished because a child FINALLY took up for themselves. I would tell my students that I'd go to the office with them if they got in trouble for taking up for themselves. We have to teach our kids to take up for themselves. The school system has failed our kids in so many ways.
Stand behind my child because obviously I taught them the right values!

My FIL would have taken him to get treats. New baseball stuff, private pitching lessons, or new shoes or clothes. I would have made him his favorite meal. 🍽️ There are a couple of schools that are really glad we are not a part of them anymore. I told them all that he would never start a fight but, if someone brought the fight to him, he would most assuredly end it. Zero tolerance can pucker up and kiss my fat backside.
