Elvis didn’t actually write any of his songs. Some were written specifically for him, and he does have some credits given to him for co-writing. But most people don’t seem to realise he was merely a performer, not a writer. He’s one of my favourites, but it’s a sad truth with many pop stars. His artistry was in his ability to perform like no other.
