I used to work for Walmart. I had a gentleman (a customer) ask me, "Where can I find something to dredge my batter in for my fresh fish that I'm going to cook up?" Instead of telling him where to go, I walked him to the storage bag section. The ironic thing was not only did I show him but, when I returned to my designated work area all of the young kids kept telling me, it's a good thing that you went to help him because I didn't know what he meant by 'dredging'. Just an excuse not to do any extra work. The youth of today don't do anything extra. BTW I'm 55, & have been working awhile.
This is not abnormal. You can’t find anybody to help you in a Walmart and if they can help you, they speak a different language and you do very sad.

Either there’s no one around that can help or if there is someone around they don’t even speak English, so how are they supposed to help you and nobody in that store really knows where anything is no matter what you asked for they always point to where it is and you get there and it’s not there! 🙄🙄🙄 Customer service with some companies is actually nonexistent. I let a manager know one day that the bathroom was out of toilet paper. She asked me if I could go and ask the cleaning person to put toilet paper in there and I told her no that’s your job. 🤣 I could not believe the manager asked me the customer if I could go and tell the cleaning person for the bathrooms absolutely ridiculous! I THINK THAT SOME COMPANIES NEED SOME REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING ON WHAT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE LOOKS LIKE! They also need to train people to have a better attitude when they’re asked for some help by a customer is!

Last Christmas, I stood in the jewelry department where there was no one to help you and they have a paging system on the phone so you can push a button in it page is somebody to come to jewelry? I spent 35 minutes, paging somebody and waiting before somebody finally showed up. And that’s not including the five associates I stopped begging for help

I worked at the vision center in Walmart one morning I heard them announce over the intercom that there were discounted lube jobs for senior citizens. I got on the intercom and asked why they were greasing old people! they told me not to do it again!!!! i thought it was funny!

I’ve called the store telephone number and asked for a manager. Manager comes to the phone and I tell them what isle I’m on and I need assistance!!! So far, it’s working
