A beautiful thing. In our society we don't place the same value on animals and their rights, lives, existence as well do ourselves. Why is animal cruelty any less significant as that of a person. Their suffering is just as profound as ours, yet those who inflict pain and suffering on them don't get nearly the same time as someone who does so to a human being. I guess my question is just who gets the right to determine the degree of punishment for these people. It should be the same as it is for humans. Hurting animals is one of the standing crimes that's always part of the history of those who hurt animals, sociopathic and psychopathic behavior. It's always a good indicator of the disregard for life that these people display these traits yet they always fall through the cracks... until they do a mass shooting that is
