the policeman called in the vehicle's plate number and found that there was a warrant he asked for identity to confirm that he wasn't the person that they were looking for but the person refused to give identification and being that there was a warrant with that Vehicles identification the police officer had to arrest him because he could not prove otherwise you cannot as a policeman wait around for a warrant especially if it is a warrant for murder meanwhile your suspect drives away as he indicated that he was going to do, on this site I hear nothing but a lot of layman that really know nothing about the law
unfortunately they don't have to show you an " arrest " warrant although he should tell you what it's for. a search warrant is different in that they are required to show it to you and you have the opportunity to read it.
