I baked 14, 9x13 Casseroles for Thanksgiving Dinner, covered with Foil.and a Lid, then placed then in Thermal Zippered Food Carriers and took to my Daughter's home! ...All very Safe, Sound, Hot & Delish!

It's all fun and cheese dip until the bottom breaks out of that basket and scalding hot rocks and cheese pelt along your legs and feet... May I suggest a crock pot lol? 😆

the only downside to that is if you're not careful rocks can explode when heated now as long as they are the right kind of rock and they're all the same Rock then they can be heated that way without explosion

Interesting though a part of me worries the coals could ignite the cloth. Otherwise it seems a practical way to keep something warm.

just do what we did in da 70,s: eat cold chicken, sandwiches with MUSTARD, and Potato Salad under my Dad's BEER floating in the cooler in orange TUPPERWARE at picnics we turned out FINE ....
