back in the dark ages in the middle 80s the diesel and gas nozzles or the same size my buddy's ex-wife had a Volkswagen rabbit and she accidentally put diesel in it. I teased her about that for years. but I think the nozzles are two different sizes now so that doesn't happen.
From having a brother in law who put diesel in a Ford pickup , it took him several tanks of gas and a lot of backfiring to get it all out. Lucky it was a Ford because I'm pretty sure a Chevy would never have started again much less survived to drive every day .

In OR an attendant still pumps the gas. My son had a Dodge truck which was diesel. The attendant put unleaded fuel in the tank. My son had gone in to use the facilities, just as he got back to the truck, the attendant was pulling out the nozzle. The company had to rebuild/replace the engine that didn't quite match up to the transmission.
obviously it was just environmentally friendly gas thats what the green handle is for.Stop lying to people about what green is, you can certainly see the jeep is running just fine. I haul gas for a living.
A friend of mine put diesel in her Camero. It melted the inside of the engine. When my mechanic husband tried to take it apart, he couldn’t believe the damage done. They had to purchase a whole new engine. Diesel runs very hot. She is SO right!

diesel doesn't ruin it but gas in a diesel will. diesel in gas will smoke and if it has to much you have to clean system

this is a set up. even if you did mix the 2 types of fuel, all it would do is shut down.
my grandson put diesel fuel in a Nissan Altima and realized his mistake right away, so we called the dealership service department. they told us to have the car towed in and they could clean it out. It cost $100.00 but it ran fine after it was cleaned.

My friend struggled with the hose but was successful in putting diesel in my gas car. I had to shut of the engine immediately, get it towed to a garage where they could completely empty the tank. Not fun when you are hours from home on a road trip.
Just tow it and take down the gas tank.. it happened to me in the military..

Jeep made a diesel engine for three years for the Gladiator. And cut it to make an electric Jeep, go figure? There should be plenty of charging stations in the back woods trails 😂😂😂

I use 10 to 1 diesel /gas mix in my diesel Cummings for better starting in cold weather....
do not crank , drop fuel tank , empty fuel tank , flush with correct fuel and replace tank fuel and go on about yo business.
The nozzles for Automotive diesel are the same size as the gasoline nozzles. Those for Large trucks are larger

I know for a fact you can fit a diesel pump into a 1980s Chevy van because I accidentally put some in a van I owned 25 years ago. The station I went to had just recently at the time emptied the tank and replaced it with a diesel and a new diesel pump. It ran good for about a block and sputtered and bucked, and then shut down. had to drain the tank and refill it with gasoline. Filling it with diesel just made it run like shit and die and not start again. Didn't hurt it,I just wasted fuel. Had it been a diesel engine, and I filled it with gasoline, it would have been a totally different story. It could and probably would have ruined the motor.

yes I did this.i was driving my dad's truck it clearly said diesel only on the gas gage. I put diesel in it and it would not run called my dad and he said oh you didn't put diesel in it did you? well yes that's what is said on it so yes I did but he had actually converted it to gas and neglected to tell me that when I borrowed it. Needless to say he was not happy.
