Why do state employees get the benefit of the scrap? That should be TAXPAYERS MONEY, THEY PAID FOR THOSE SIGNS!! 🛑

So you settle for 25 cents a pound and the city employee requirement is less important.

not too long ago the thugs were stripping all of the copper out of the big green como boxes in backyards and businesses but sometimes they would get in the wrong box and start to cut the copper out and blow themselves up because they were to stupid to figure out the difference between the two types , 48.000 + volts sure isn't anything to play with biz buzz bizz fry zap buzz bizz fry zap pow !

No, you don’t. You just pour paint thinner on them until the color comes off and then sell them.😂

I’m glad only city employees can sell it, otherwise people would be stealing the hell out of them

the big highway signs back in the day were really thick!!! I bought a tandem 7k trailer from a highway department and the deck is 2 sheets 1/4" aluminum. if you look underneath you can see a few letters with the reflective backing. kinda neat. I don't know if they are still made that thick today
