as a parent you should KNOW whether your child is too disruptive to be out in public. respect for others should be considered in these situations

If he is mentally challenged than as a parent of that child you need to monitor this person and have situational awareness! Don't allow them to disrupt other people of they are basically unable to be in public unsupervised. THANK YOU!

so a human being should stay home because he is different? this comment section seems more autistic than the child.

The thing is autism or not it probably wasn’t even that much of a disruption. If it was the staff would’ve dealt accordingly

not everyone wants to hear all that noise..specially elderly they get overwhelmed as well...Autism or not..you know ur child and their limits ....teach behavior in public ....I've seen plenty autistic children knowing how to behave and not be overwhelming distributive

so if someone's doing something disruptive and wrong it's okay cuz they're autistic. there's no context here so the kid could have been acting like an idiot

Lack of education on the elderly there

I have an autistic child . We dont let him run around in a restaurant or any other place .. We taught him manners and autistic or not he knows how to behave. They will only do what you let them ...

Please stop allowing your autistic child to hear YOU say he has it. You're essentially telling him there's something wrong with him to his face

I'll never forget how I was on a field trip with my students and a Karen said I should be ashamed of myself for allowing my child to bang his head on the wall not knowing that it was one of his behaviors

I would joke right now, and say "it's always them". Like many do. No matter the circumstances. But now isn't the time to retaliate on racist. I have genuine compassion and sympathy for this family. God Bless 🙌🏿 them 🙏🏿

Having autism doesn’t mean he can’t be taught. A lot of the time parents to autistic children let them get away with a lot that other children wouldn’t and use their autism as an excuse. I work with people with autism and you can definitely tell who was let get away with stuff due to autism and who was treated the same as any other kid.

My nephew has autism and he is very disruptive but his parents know not to take him out into public to places such were old people gather because they're smart not everybody should be parents

I'm a Mother of an Autistic Son and I sympathize with both parties. Some people don't understand how hard it is to try to divert uncontrollable disruptive behavior, but I would always try to get my Son to settle down when he got overstimulated. He would get loud when he got excited or really happy. When he got frustrated or mad he would get loud. The looks and comments I would get from some people were just evil. We never wanted to disrupt anything or be an annoyance to anyone. I would try to remove him from the situation until he settled down. It's incredibly hard to find a peaceful balance for everyone.

here's the thing when my daughter acted up whether or not she had autism doesn't matter I would have to take her out of a place out of respect for others. that's what we did and that's what people before us did and so on. I wouldn't want to screaming child while I'm eating the entire time and nor would I expect anyone to put up with my child if she did that.

So just because a kid has autism does that mean he gets to do whatever he or she wants I think not There should be some discipline Kids with autism do understand some boundaries but allowing your kid to do whatever they want everyone is not going to be okay with that So yes you're going to get response like this just because your kid is sick everyone has to put up with the frustration the headache the stress no that's not fair find it a environment to wear others are not so easily disturb
