One in water that’s really cold hypothermia hypothermia sets in the circulation to your arms and legs slow so only your core. Your chest stomach part of your torso is actually circulating. You’re still alive in that cold water long enough they can pull you out. Your heartbeat may be honestly 56 beats a minute, but you’re still alive. The cold is just shutting your system down and you’re not dead those on the Titanic pulled out of the water they thought were dead. They never realized that they were still alive and if they were warmed up, even slowly, they would be alive. They didn’t have medical technology of this back then.

Most people don’t realize that it would literally lock your body from the shock you couldn’t swim if you wanted to they just stuck there hand in jump into a pool like that you would completely lock up

That was a horrible way to go a lot of things went wrong that night. Not enough life boats and they had to get away from the ship sinking are it would have took them down with it. But after the ship sank it wasn’t but just a few minutes and all the screams for help came to a end nothing but silence and the sound of people yelling for anyone that was still alive but that soon came to a end a lot of people lost their lives on a ship they said it couldn’t sink but it did on the very first trip it ever made.

Most people go into a type of cold shock paralysis when they hit water that cold and drown. They literally lock up and gasp involuntarily and often underwater.

It was stated in reports that a lot of the people they pulled out of the ocean. I don’t know how many hours passed and put on a ship. They assumed everybody was dead, but because of hypothermia they still had heartbeats, but they thought they were dead and they put him as dead.
