Wrong, if the kidnapper doesn't own an apple product with connectivity and takes the child to a location that isn't heavily populated then the air tag is useless. For fun though.. let's just say the abductor does have an actively connected iPhone. That iPhone will within minutes alert the abductor to its presence and offer them the ability to help locate the device by playing a sound. This kind of Bs is what you get when bandwagon sheeple try hyping up a crap product from a crap company without even knowing what the product does.

actually this would only be useful for a few minutes. Whenever I get in a car at work that has a tracking device my phone notifies me within a few minutes of driving. We need to make some that can be switched on and off. So you can decide how to implement it correctly and get the best end result!!
