I hand and touchless washed my car for 5 years, went through one of these things once, asked them for touchless, they didnt do touchless, microscratches EVERYWHERE and even took rhe paint off my driver's side mirror

It’s according to how old the brushes are. You could see every mark on my black car when I went through old brushes. I now do my own or hire a neighborhood teen to wash mine. And I’m usually out with them helping.
probably a Toyota.. they use cheap paints.

Have a beautiful dark red BLAZER,& it goes thru car wash weekly . After 4 years it’s still beautiful.
My husband only goes to brushless car washes for that reason

my husband took my perfectly clean car through one of these and scratched the living crap out of the clear coat, when we were first dating. he said he was going to get it hand polished, to fix it. that should have been my first clue what a liar he is

You should never bring it to a rotor car wash. Some do it by hand.

I took one of my cars to to car wash years ago and the guy wiping the excess water was wearing an exposed belt. The buckle scratched through the paint. I was unable to prove it for certain?, so I ha to get that part repainted. it was a brand new car.
Maybe wax your car twice a year like an adult and then just buff it all out?

That's what car washes that use the brushes do to every car. It just shows up worse on black cars. Just think about what it's doing to the clear coat on your car... Like a thousand little pieces of sand paper. Especially the older ones
