after we were married for 5 years I was diagnosed with brain disease. not knowing I already had a genetic disease from my dad's family. I was told I'd be unable to walk in a few years. I'm getting worse now and dread not being able to take care of myself. after 16 years he treats me like a queen, wheelchair or not
I sad the exact same thing in my hospital bed to my fiancé one month before our wedding. Told him if he want to back out it’s ok because he deserves a woman who would be there and not going to doctors all the time. He had the same reaction. Married 32 years until his death. Good man.

I became disabled @ 30, gave my husband option to divorce me. He stayed, but cheated on me; found out he was poisoning my food after he died.
I did the same thing with my fiance and he shook his head no and he told me I was not going to die. He took care of me through my chemotherapy and radiation treatments and we got married after my hair grew back past stubble and we are 13 years later still together. He ended up coming down with blood cancer and he went through treatment and he is in remission. We are blessed by God Almighty.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I got married before I was fully recovered from breast cancer. Still had another surgery to go. Then we got married and I got cancer in the other breast 8 years later. He’s been by my side for every appointment and every surgery. Now he’s got cancer and is dying. I’d never leave him. He’s my best friend.
I recently visited a Marine in the hospital that only had a couple days left due to cancer when his wife originally found out he had stage 4 cancer she kicked him out of his own house. Him being a combat vet didn’t want to deal with domestic violence charges so went to the streets. Women will not do this for Men.
Is this the man, that they documented her illness until her death & they had a young son at the time? I know this is a vague, but I remember following that sweet family. He reminds me a lot like the husband. Someone on here may remember them. I know there are probably many families in that position. God Bless each & everyone of them 🙏💕.
This is a sign of a real man! Back in 2021 I was involved in an accident. My boyfriend of 9 months just left town 15 minutes prior to me calling him about my accident. He was headed to his hunting camp. He said I’ll call you when I get home. I had major injuries. I decided he wasn’t the man for me. I’ve never looked back!
My Dad was one of the greats. He stayed by mom's side thru 2 bouts of lymphoma. My Dad was 64 when he died. 5 years before my mom, who died at 66. I miss them every day.🙏

It’s been 6yrs since my life changing accident (I have a frontal left lobe TBI which changes your personality and memory along with all the other side affects of a TBI) and I told him shortly afterwards and several times since “I understand I’m not the girl you fell in love with and there will be no animosity or hostility between us” and he continues to say that he won’t leave. Even after I had a mental breakdown and was gone for about a year and he just waited for me. He’s incredible 🥰
now she knows he chooses her everyday, not out of obligation, but out of love 💕
My late wife said the same thing. told her that she would have to leave me because I'm in this forevermore. and I still love and miss her.

My much younger S.O. knew I was struggling with Multiple Sclerosis and Bi-Polar disorder before we even got together. It never phased him...even when I was trying to push him out to find a "healthier" woman. We been in love for fourteen years, been together for ten years and have an eight year old son together. The Lord works in mysterious ways. 🙏
My husband knew I had significant health problems before we were married. Twelve years later he took me to the ER at the hospital and never came back. I was in a stepdown ICU when I was served the paper work for divorce and sole custody of our 7 year old daughter. The divorce was final in 2012 and he has only spoken a few words to me in all of that time.
A good man WANTS to be needed.
I’m about to find out what my husband is all about. No real diagnosis yet, but so far his empathy sucks.

This is Taylor Odlozil - he was married to Hayley who passed away from cancer over a year ago. They have a son Weston who is 6. Sad outcome.
This is what 'For Better or For Worst' means. I wish more folks understood this commitment wrt marriage. It would save so many people the mistake of picking the wrong person.
