Russia makes the world’s best TARGETS. Russian equipment has never bested any NATO equipment.
The US has the choppers, the pilots, the training, proven combat doctrin, service support elements, tactical support, intelligence, different stock piles of different ordinances, and superior combat aircraft that work in conjunction with the helos. The US has more helos than the rest of the worlds militaries combined.
Army Chinooks utilize all the power from the engines,delivered to both forward and aft rotors operating in counter rotation, anotherwords the forward rotors operate opposite direction than the aft. The combining transmission takes power from both engines via the engine transmissions then deliver the torque forward and aft. The Chinooks have a total of 5 transmissions but the combining transmission keeps the rotors in phase so they don't contact each other. I was a Chinook mechanic for years and I love the intricate nature of this machine.

I am a45 years helicopter mechanic they are not more advanced with this design, it's just different, and that Russian copter is being shot out of the sky so often and easily. they are not sending them up unless they have no choice.
And they have lost many in Ukraine along with other military gear 😆🤔
