You just committed a federal crime. You as an officer of the law just asked for or solicited a trespass from the owner of that establishment. You cannot ask them. if the owner does not tell you to trespass him you cannot. The second you asked the owner to say if he wanted trespass that is you requesting it that is you soliciting a trespass which is a federal crime
