Becus funerals start early & most people skip breakfast. So about time service & burial over. You hungry & wanna eat. I, would think that happened no matter the race. Ijs blk folks wanna eat after possibly being up late . Getting early & not having eaten. & black ppls cooks & bring food for the past over . Bcus that’s just their custom too do so!!

Eating after a funeral isn't a black exclusive event. We have that tradition as well.

up since 6am At church since 9am Family and Viewing @10am Actual Service @11am hopefully (Big Family time will be extended) Funeral Service @11am- Until Shutting the casket (1 hour) Everybody done passed out and has been revived and found their correct wigglet. Stop folks from getting IN casket. Stop Fighting (possibly) Dedications songs (The spirit sweeps over the church) 30mins praise! dances 1 min Memory speech per person. (10 ppl at least. Then the Eulogy 4 hr . 3 If ya Lucky. Now to the Gravesite. 1hr & 20mins Minster says last words over the body. words of encouragement to the family. Someone has a moment and it causes a domino effect . 45 mins the procession heads back to the church. 30mins. We have Pulled a Dbl!! With No check in sight. FEED ME SEYMO’‼️ What did I miss yall??😂😂😂

I'm white and my family has always done this. So don't assume it's not done in white families too. Every one I know does this. It's a time to be together, share memories and eat.
White people don’t do that . We actually mourn we have food but we don’t be cutting up laughing and smacking and cracking the utensils on our plates . And it’s likely that we used throw away dishes to avoid extra work and we can get back to our daily life and grieve in private or take our butts back to work before we get fired . I see it as poor table manners . Dressed like a queen but her manners like a baby gremlin! Disgraceful!

What I see in that video is definitely a fact. The family has paid for funeral or cremation. Friends, other relatives show up to pay their respects. After the service is over, take your Azz home and eat. I personally, don't agree with having a repass after. Added expense Yes!! I know it's a tradition that's been around for years.
When people lose a loved one, we tend to lose our appetite,etc. So yeah after it’s all over with you can rest assured that we gonna eat regardless in Jesus name. Amen 🙏
