I love Aldi’s! I found them back during my “poor years”. Early 90’s, single mom, never asked for government assistance (pride tbh). I had $3 to my name. I was able to get a package of hot dogs, buns, two cans of pork and beans. Under $3! My son started saying that Aldi’s is mom’s friend. I still go there now. Btw, they have award winning wine under $4 a bottle. Crazy!

All foods today do not taste the same as they did when I was young. This includes brand names that have been here since I was young. It's all poison.... I'm telling ya

same with the high-end sunglasses and eyeglasses. I'm out in another country bought out the other companies. they're the same cheap glasses you just put some bling on it and his name and they're worth High dollar. so basically people are buying crap for too much.

that's been going on for many years across many industries. example is MTD Outdoor power equipment owns several name brands. They bought out garden way aka Troy bilt, Arens, Cadet Cadet, Sears, Wards, ect.

I was under the impression that this was common knowledge. my dad explained it to me back in the mid 90's. One day while doing our weekly shopping he gave me half the list to go get and to just make sure to get only the store brand and to meet him up front when done. I asked why just the store brand and he said there was no difference between the product and the stores. He said there were slight variations in what he called the three p's, preservatives, packaging and price. And that the product itself was the same more often than not coming from the brand name itself just being sold to the store at cost because it didn't meet the brand's quality controls in some way. Considering he was a musician and not a PHD i fugured everyone knew these things lol

Nah, they don't taste the same, AI Joe Rogan. They want the sales both ways.. why would they screw themselves? They make the cheap stuff a little shittier so people still have a reason to spend more when they can.. because why else would anyone ever buy the more expensive cereal if it is exactly the same? Status? 😂

this is so true don't let the name of the food fake you cause at one time I worked at Budding it's a slice lunch meat company and any store sales it even at Walmart but even sell it under a different name so you are paying for the name.

Aldi was a German company that I first saw in the 70's when we were stationed there. It was better when the father had it but then the sons took over...that and Trader Joe's. Change isn't always good.. it's just change.

most of that video is true. but alot of the cheaper stores like aldis takes what's left over so quality will be poor especially on the meats and produce. can goods and stuff like that is the end of the batch or what's left over. I work in this industry and yes its mostly just a lable change but also so nothing gets wasted

I have been saying the same thing for years . I worked in a factory and all plastic bags are made by the same company. The difference is that the plastic bags are just the way it it blown up with the thickness of the bag . Cheaper is stretched to the limit but the better is not blown up like the cheaper plastic . Same goes with the canned food and boxes just a different label. They ARE the same

i worked in a pie factory. its true, marie callender pies are the same as wegmans, only differences are the measurements of products. same ingredients from the same ingredients suppliers, made on the same line shipped to the same store sold side by side. ppl in america are too stupid to acknowledge this and admit it.
