I've been emotionally and verbally abused by my black mother-in-law. This woman hated me too because, like Vanessa, I was not black. I was told wives come and go. Demanded money from us, told me that her son's money was not mine. I had been treated like crap. Love is not demanding, Vanessa is now a widow. Kobe had tried many times to repair the relationship. First of all, Kobe’s parents refused to attend Kobe & Vanessa’s wedding! I know for a fact that was EXTREMELY painful to the young couple. They should’ve loved Kobe enough to accept the woman that Kobe loved and chose to marry. I’m a grandmother of 3 and a great grandmother of 3. Kobe’s parents missed out on one of the VERY BEST things in life: grandchildren! They apparently wanted Kobe to marry a black woman. Reminds of the Queen ruining King Charles & Princess Margaret’s lives. No one can pick and choose who someone should love or not love. That’s definitely not how it works! Kobe’s parents missed out on a relationship with their grandchildren. How selfish, controlling, cold and dumb was that‼️

Queen Elizabeth ruined Diana’s life by picking who they wanted Charles to love. That’s not how it works! Kobe loved Vanessa. Kobe’s parent’s relationship with their precious grandchildren was strained by not respecting, not accepting and not loving their mother. What a waste of what could’ve been a strong family bond. I don't know the history, but if Vanessa purchased an estate for his sister and takes care of the father's medical bills, that speaks volumes, to me! What shocks me is Kobe's mom wanted visitation of her grand-children, as if she was their mother. If the relationship was there from the beginning, there is no reason to ask for visitation. His mom is not entitled to 50% of his estate, as he left a wife and children. I think the mom may be a little greedy. As I stated, Vanessa purchased a home for his sister and pays the father's medical bills, she can't be all bad. I honestly think his mother feels she's entitled to her son's assets. She sold some of his memorabilia without his permission, what else would she do, if she had access to his estate? Keep her at arms distance...shes a snake ready to strike! just my opinion
