My mom had mouth cancer 5 times and surgery required removal of the roof of her mouth. After each surgery, and the removal of more and more “material”, she had to learn how to speak again. I wish this had been available for her. Note: Mom smoked and refused to quit even with the initial diagnosis and subsequent first surgery. She tried but nothing worked. Smoking is an abomination. I smoked for 25 years and gave it up when I could no longer breathe. Thought I was gonna die. Took 8 months to breathe normally again. That was 27 years ago. Quitting can be done. Just don’t wait until it becomes a must do instead of a might do.
