When I grew up in the south their were remnants of prejudice from both the blacks and the whites but my age was completely excepting of each other. There were more blacks holding on to hatred or negative judgment but both were of a slightly older crowd and they kept trying to pass it down to my age group. But my age group was really kinda passed that era minus a few diehards. I'm glad I didn't grow up in the older generation because in my generation we were pretty cool...we all hung around together.
