Of course there are bad police officers. But the good over come the bad ones. They are only human. Nobody is perfect no need to judge them all. But this officer was one of the bad ones.
71yr old Ourania Thimmhardy, who suffers from mental illness, was arrested for not leaving Starbucks & spent 2 days in jail. Upon release, her refusal to sign paperwork led to this. She suffered a broken femur at the hip requiring surgery & was hospitalized 2 months. Matthew Gurich was fired in March 2025, charged with 1 felony count of unlawful assault by a public officer: case pending. A federal civil rights lawsuit was filed by her family against the county, sheriff & deputies who didn't intervene. The lawsuit alleges excessive force & hopes to achieve monetary compensation for the trauma & prompt policy changes within the dept. Case pending.
Another case of police brutality.. just bad apples in the bunch
A quick Google search, "women being pushed out of police station" shows that sheriff Mathew Gurich was fired immediately. Furthermore, the civil rights attorney that picked up the case stated that she fractured her femur in the fall. While she was hospitalized, her husband actually passed away in another hospital. Making her miss his final days because of this.
Regardless of whether there was a deliberate push or not, there was NO reason for the unprofessional behavior of this individual and the fact that ALL of the other cops did nothing to prevent this!
Okay, that cop is a piece of garbage! He absolutely had no reason or right to do that! His fellow guards are equally culpable as any citizens who watched that and did nothing would be! Gives all police officers a bad name!

lawsuit. assault and battery. intentionally threw her down that officer should be criminally liable and sued for his personal pension his house his bank account his money not the taxpayers that officer and any officer next to him that allowed him to do that should be on trial
He took it to the extreme. At the end of the day we all go home at some point. There can have so much happen. Might not even be the same month but it can happen. Have a sniper set up and set the house on fire. It’s just you and your family in that house on fire. It’ll take a bit for the firefighters to get there. All rush out and get sniped out.

What’s a so terrible to see the way that they all just walked away as they saw that older woman on the ground like that is absolutely heartbreaking to see a human to another human like that. Especially the ones who are meant to protect the service.

Good he deserved to be fired! Don’t sign paperwork and you get a broken leg and more. She deserved the money. Some people just don’t get what being a police officer really means and it goes to their head! They are supposed to protect not throw a woman to the ground because of paperwork? If you can’t handle your anger any better for something so small……
