Instead, here are facts: - In 2023, Canada's violent crime rate was 252 per 100k, while the US was 334 & Florida was 267 (statistically difference). - The robbery rate (use of force/threat, violent crime) is lower in Canada than FL or the US, but burglary (unlawful entry, property crime) is higher. In 2023, Canada had a robbery rate of 56 per 100k people, while the US rate was 178 (3x higher)! - Canada has stricter gun laws. They require a license, safety training, background checks, & a 28-day waiting period. - Canada's gun death rate is 20x lower (0.72 per 100k) than the U.S. (14.0) & FL (13.6). [In 2023, 76% of homicide in the US involved guns while 38% in Canada. When guns were excluded, the rates are similar! Interesting!] - Life expectancy is 6y more in Canada.
