The old man was sleeping, and he was in his car, and the boy probably startled him and he kicked the door and he got hit in the face. The next time the old man should make sure the car door is locked and he shouldn't be out that late at night. If there was a search for the dog to be done.The mother should have been doing that, not the child or the mother should have been with the child looking for the dog.
