Just because you get into an argument doesn't mean that you tase a person. Especially if it looks like the guy is walking away from the situation. That implies that he had every intention of tapering him whatever the outcome was..
It’s ineffective to incapacitate somebody with a taser when you shoot that close. There has to be a larger spread from one prong to the other to incapacitate the body. That’s why nothing happened. That shows the officers support judgment. I don’t even know how the officer was justified from the video to use a taser on him while the guy had his back turned, and the officer was safe because he was separated by the guard rails.

Loose fitting clothes like hoodies and jackets are the bane of tasers. The prongs dont penetrate to the skin. Police officers know this, because they are trained for it. Thats why so many people question why police dont just taze people instead if shooting them. Also, tazers only work within 25 ft, so if a perp has any weapon in their hand, especially a knife, then its service weapon not tazer time. If the tazer does not work, experience and training has shown you will not have enough time to draw your service weapon to neutralize the attacker. This scenario was something different. Not sure why he tried tazing him and not trying to arrest him.

In a local bar who my friend owned there was trouble at the pool table. A guy was really being an ass. Fighting with people, breaking bottles, totally out of control. My friend picked up a pool cue and whacked him in the back of head. I mean he hit him. The guy stopped, looked at my friend, I thought he was going to kill him. He said don’t ever do that again or I’ll kill you. Just like nothing had happened he was calm as hell, never flinched and just walked out the door.

From what I see talking doesn't raise the threat level and isn't a reason for a tyrant cop to use a tazer. Cops always violate this requirement to taze someone, and upper management let's their cops get away with these violations until video of the violations appear.
