My parents split when I was pretty young maybe 4-5 I’m not too sure its been a bit but I do distinctly remember not wanting them too for a few months after, even though it was selfish of me all I wanted was a mom and a dad I didn’t want to go 50/50 or 70/30 it just didn’t seem fair. But I was a dumb little runt and obviously they split for a reason of course I see that now looking back on it but I really cant imagine the extra stress and strain I put on my parents shoulders at the time

To the dads staying in relationships for the kids; it’s seriously best to go and live on with your kids. Go to court for custody or shared custody if you have too but your happiness is first man. My mother told me when her and my dad separated that “it was best to split when we still loved each other to raise you kids; instead of trying to make it work out and end up hating each other.”
