My daughter died at 25 yrs old from nocturnal seizures. The drs could never explain them so she was never put on meds. So many drs. She started having them at 13. I miss her dearly. It’s been 10 years now.

@swamp Fox terrors ll. I lost my daughter on October 14, 2025. She had triple bypass surgery on the 9th of October. Her body couldn't take I and her organs began to fail. She flatlined for 9 minutes, they got her back then again for 4min they got her back and on the 3rd time she was gone. She was 38yrs old. I miss her soooooo much and I feel lost. Her name was Felicia. 💔🙏🏾 God comforts me daily otherwise I wouldn't know how to proceed. ps. not suicidal wouldn't dare even think of that my soul is important to me. My heart just aches so much for her.

I was diagnosed with seizures and once a week my family had to call 911 for me. I stopped breathing, my heart stopped and few times. I take 2 types of seizure meds plus my slow and fast acting insulin. my son is 13 and he's seen a lot. My daughter was 17 and passed away. He and I tried to save her. He was 8 when that happened. So my son seeing his sissy pass and me like this is hard on him. He always goes around house looking for me if he dont see me. I will be in bathroom and he's saying are you ok? I can be in shower and hes pounding on door saying are you ok? Truly breaks my heart. I fight each day to stay healthy and take care of myself for my son. Having diabetes is hard. Its so very scary. I pray for each person who has this.

my husband started having seizures after a fall in the bathroom.. I had never seen anyone have a seizure before.. It literally scared me to death.. full on seizure.. back arched arms out, hands arched backwards .. head bent backwards towards spine.. foaming at the mouth.. .. called ems.. the emergency technician told me that I couldn't call for the em's every time he has a seizure..

Did they come up with a machine or a wearable device that can detect the onset of one? to maybe alert you before hand?? the brain function will be the start so it could pick up the onset of it somehow... you'd think. 🙏🤔

I am not prone to seizures, but about a week before I was hospitalized for COVID in 2019, I had one. I honestly don't remember it, but when I came to the EMS told me I had a seizure. ( my family called). I just remember being very tired, and I heard them talking to me, but they sounded far away. I knew where I was at, but I couldn't voice it. I felt really heavy, but light, if that makes sense. it was scary for me.. plus I peed myself. that was embarrassing! the very worst part was I had my 2 week old granddaughter in my arms. I refused to hold her again for a long time.

I have generalized idiopathic epilepsy which means the doctors don't know what causes my seizures. I've had/have some nocturnal ones and a TON of myoclonic jerks all the damn time, especially when I'm tired or sleeping. They tend to progress into focal afterwards and then petit or grand from there, but I never know how many seizures I truly have while sleeping because I'm a single mom and don't have a service dog. It worries me that my 4 year old will wake up sometime to me having a seizure in my sleep or one period. What do ya do though..

I thought there was nothing worse than the loss of a child, but there is. You will always feel the loss, but it will get better over time. I think the key to healing is peace without endurance of equal hardship. I'm so sorry for you.

My German shepherd had a seizure after his 2nd surgery. He went blind and it was terrifying. I just can't imagine a parent dealing with a child going through it..

I'm epileptic, but mine are, thankfully, under control. I can't imagine the fear of having them in my sleep 😳😭 It is traumatic for anyone who has to watch their loved one go thru a seizure. I never remember anything but the aura and coming out of it. Unfortunately, my family remembers 💝
