Columbus was an opportunist, Ferdinand and Isabella were greedy and together they milked South America. But we are who we are today as a direct result of that. The history of south and Central America, and even us would have been vastly different. I can’t believe that the English or French would have been better or more humane.

When they got sick and used up, he and his cronies started the transatlantic slave trade of africans. Introduced diseases such as small pox and justified brutality because they were non-Christian.
