This is actually a very difficult and a dying breed of fishermen who use this technique. They almost all have a plane that flies over the group of huge blue fin tuna call to the captain of the boat and 1 guy who's been trained for years spears then immediately electrocute the tuna resulting in instant death. People pay upwards of a million or more for some of these awesome fish at markets mostly in China or Japan. Most are caught or spear off the coast of Massachusetts and Maine. You can watch them doing this on discovery and it's actually pretty amazing and takes more talent than most give them.

Well, I sure hope they were hungry and plan on eating that fish. Otherwise, there was no reason to kill it.

that ain't fishing ..fishing is one person one small boat or off the shore line and whatever they want to use that's made by hand for catching fish.. all that other stuff is just cheating.. it's like hunting with a rifle .. and calling yourself a real hunter..

This is sad. All our good fish go over seas and the polluted Chinese and other countries radio active fish comes here and Americans get charged a bundle to get cancer

I was pretty disappointed when I learned it was electrocuted after being speared in order to kill the fish.

that's how my dad was licensed to catch swordfish. One fish fed us lor a year. There is skill in this way to catch a fish. Set the harpoon, throw over the line and the floating ball, and prepare to follow the catch around the ocean for hours, waiting for it to sound. Those who think negatively about fishing this way might be fishing for fun, not relying on this as a real food source.

the reason this keeps happening is because they get killed before they can tell the others 💀🍽️
