I never understood why someone thought it was a good idea to give any government assistance payments once a month. the very large majority of the people that are receiving government assistance payments have no idea how to budget, it's literally setting them up for failure. every person I have ever met that got food assistance would go spend all of the money within the first 3 days, then complain they are out and won't get more for 7+ days.
