Most catamarans have a viewing hatch in the floor like that. It's usually a couple feet above the water, so i wouldn't worry too much about that leak.

That is an escape hatch. I would imagine it would a job to repair it. What are the do ope it? There no way to fix it unless you pull the boat out. Maybe some flex seal though...
