Knee! I've had both of mine done!
I heard the knee surgery is a rough recovery
No one else asking why the holder didn’t have gloves on?
Does anyone know anything about a Spinal Stimulator for pain?
7 times out of. if you look close, you’ll see seven different incisions. O the fun
My husband has had a knee replacement, followed by a severe staph infection in that knee, which required months of antibiotics; which did not completely cure the staph; followed by a surgery to clean out the infection; followed by an evaluation that indicated the infection was still active; followed by a removal of the knee replacement and an insertion of an antibiotic spacer for an 8-month period with no knee and a 24-hour antibiotic drip to attempt to eradicate the existing infection; followed by a reinsertion of a new knee replacement and an attempt to remove all the scar tissue from the previous surgeries. Result: a complete chaos. He cannot bend that knee; cannot climb stairs anymore; cannot exercise without pain; cannot walk without a cane or walker; I can go on but you get the picture.
I am having tkr with robotic assist on January 13th I am scared to death, like I want to cry listening to everyone say it's aweful
I don't want one one, OUCH
Knee. I have 2 of those.
Right one then I'm having the left one done soon 👍 when I had the right one done I watched on YouTube a knee surgery so I knew what they were going to do to me. I told. my surgeon what I did he said you're braver than him if he didn't do this he would Never watch🤣😂
I had a TKR assisted by robotics..on September 25...walked the same day once I came out of re every! stayed over night did PT in hospital...came to my daughter's place followed up by in home PT for the first 2 weeks...used walker 4 maybe 5 times ...did Outpatient PT no biggie! up to 110° range...barely use a cane! happy to say my surgeon gave me clearance to fly to Vegas! in December! an 5 1/2 hour going and coming back! 4 months! doing good...have a uncomfortable feeling at times...like when it rains, its cold & but pretty dam happy over all! right knee next! love my surgeon and his staff ! thanks!!!🙏
For me my foot surgery was far far worse than my knees! I was very incapacitated for a couple of months with the foot. Get the circulating ice bag for your knee. Start PT with in 24-48 hours post op. Work the knee as much as allowed you’ll improve so much quicker. I got out and went to Pt. I had a scooter and crutches. The harder you work the better off you’ll be. Same with hip. You have to finish all of your PT. That is a critical piece to recover. Don’t be lazy. Take your pain medicine as scheduled. It will help you move so much easier. I used a walker too initially. Absolutely NO WEIGHT BARING! 👍🏼
I’ve heard hip replacement is very bad recovery.
Did my own therapy was back to work in 2 weeks. Full knee replacement
Knee
Thanks, so that’s what it looks like. I had both my knees done.
definitely me I had both mine done two times
Knee
I had a total right shoulder replacement they say that is the worst than knee and hip replacement and I believe it it was very painful I had surgery the first of March and I couldn't get back to my bowling until last of September I had to wait til May to start therapy and had it until they released me the last of September
I had both knees done. One year apart. Rehab is a beast.
Not an easy recovery. Took mine 1 full year.
Best to try the Synvise or Gelsyn injections first. I've avoided surgery for over 15 years because of the injections. They are fabulous.
Since we're all sharing our x-rays I figured I'd share mine. I must say that PT was rough! I only did 8 weeks of it at home, and I never did any outpatient PT, so I do still have a lot of pain in the new knee. I've decided against doing the other knee, too painful!
what is it?
My husband had both replaced within 6 weeks. He was great within 2 months was walking 20+ miles a day! He did fantastic no Infections. Therapy went well no issues the more he worked his knees the easier it went!
Looks like a shoulder to me.
a chin implant
All that strile instrument handling just to touch it up with your glove hands?
have few in my whole spine shoulder know torax..
Knee replacement. I had both of mine done.
Had my right hip done and walked the same afternoon. Tylenol and Motrin controlled the pain after a day or two.
No more operations for me. I never recover very well to anesthesia, let alone painful operations. I'm 78 and done. 🙏
knee
so that piece ends up being his kneecap? The part that goes into his leg bone doesn't look long enough. I've also heard knee surgery is brutal, but every person I know who's had a knee replacement, said the end result was so worth it all! I hope so, because I'm scheduling mine this week. I'm 68 years old. 🙏💕
Patella of the knee.
Very cool.
if it's an Oxford partial, I have one in my right knee. yea the pt was a pain, but im better for it now. thxs doc.
Part for partial knee. Also know as a unicompartmental knee, for replacement surgery.
either knee or elbow...I'm guessing knee
🙏🙏🙏🥰
It was really hard and very very painful with a long recovery, but now 3 years out, I forget I have it and have full use
I had mine done. It was so bad my doctor wasn’t sure he could straighten my leg. I had a broken hip as well. I had been walking with both for most of a year. . My leg turned in and my left knee hit my right one. He replaced right hip first. as it had a small fracture. Next was my left knee. Then my left hip. My right knee will need to be done eventually. I had a great doctor and I sailed through all of them. I walked right after coming out of surgery from my knee surgery. The knee pain was worse than the hips but managed well with meds. At my first check up I walked in my docs office on my walker and he was amazed. I had all my physical therapy at home. I am so grateful to this doctor. When he first saw me, he said my hips and knee were so bad he was going to have to use Leggo parts to to put me back together. Lol! 💕🌸
I had my right knee replaced 14 yrs ago and it was the best thing I did. I had back problems and sciatica in my left hip. I was always going to the chiropractor getting a shot in my hip. I couldn’t get around very well when you have a bum knee. After my surgery, yes it was hard getting back all the things I had to do at home and going to the Physical physical therapy, but in no time I was out walking I lost the weight. There was no more pain in my hip and my back straightened out no more chiropractor ever since. My doctor did a fantastic job and I felt like a new person. You’d never know. I had a knee replacement. It looks great and it feels great. 👍🏻
I've had both knee joints replaced, one twice after 20 years of wear on the first one. I was walking the same day with my most recent one and chipping golf balls 4 days post surgery. On the other side I had a full shoulder rotator cuff rebuild. I'd rather have two more knee joint replacements before another shoulder rebuild. I had to sleep in a recliner for three weeks after the shoulder surgery. It was so miserable that I never left the house until physical therapy started. I couldn't play golf for almost a year.
I have cartridge removed in 1969 I guess that was how they fix knee back then. Then in 2000 I had total knee replacement. It is a tough surgery, I know by now they must how improved it. But the key is to keep moving it. I rolled a can of corn on the floor with my foot. That was 26 years ago and my knee is fine still. Had my ankle and shoulder totally replaced too.
My sister had total knee replacement years ago. When she passed recently & was cremated, they gave us her knee back along with her ashes. It didn't look anything like that and was bigger & heavy!!
my sister had her knee replaced and she said the pain was unbearable.
Next time, hold the package closer over the table in case it falls.
I'm 57 and both mine need replacing for last 10yrs
Shouldn’t the other person have gloves on also?
