It's the bus driver's birthday so each student is giving her $1.00. I moved to Michigan a few years ago and learned this is a tradition. People give you a dollar or more on your birthday and you wear the money pinned to your shirt. I think this is what's happening. It doesn't have anything to do with the students paying for fuel or transportation. The students are celebrating the driver's birthday. Look at the joy on the driver's face. 🥰

I think school bus drivers should be acknowledged throughout the year by parents. They do a difficult job keeping your children safe, getting them to and from school anf I'm sure there are many that go beyond the scope of their duties. They should be recognized throughout the.school year. parents don't forget the school bus drivers.🙏

We do this and I’m not a bus driver will be soon but not yet it’s just something we do seems like a down South thing a good friend of mines has a birthday party every year and she has so much pinned on her it’s from the chest area allllll the way to he ankles damn near EVERY year shit she almost 80 years old and don’t be no $1 it’s $20-$50-$100 only one year she racked up 3 grand … lol but yeah that’s a tradition every person I know follows!!
