I spent 2 weeks in Dubai and I can tell you it’s so safe you could leave your wallet on a table and it would still be there later that day. A very safe city.

I used to walk the street to San Francisco at 2 AM regularly in the early 2000s when it was relatively safe now it’s a total mess

Its funny until you realize Dubai/Abu Dhabi are "safe" because they’re authoritarian: no free speech, no right to protest, heavy surveillance, strict big-government control, and harsh punishment without U.S. style due process rights. That’s not freedom or what we should want in America... Also... crime isn’t partisan... right leaning cities like Memphis, Jackson, and St. Louis are dangerous, too. People who don't think for themselves never really realize these things. They just cheer it on because they don't know any better.

Do the average person in Dubai is extremely wealthy by American standard. There’s really no confrontational people to the line. Money is a big controlling factor cars, money possessions. It’s a symbol of being wealthy. They adhere to the faith, but I’m not as straightened as the people in Afghanistan, where there’s extreme poor authority, and poverty.🌸
