many years ago I lived in Pittsburgh and my mom came to visit but I was working during the day. I knew she wouldn't want to stay in the house so what I did was I wrote my address on a piece of paper and she put it in her sweater pocket so that if she would get confused and lost she could ask anybody and they would get her back to my place no she wasn't incoherent and she was not stupid it was just possible that she would not be able to find her way back to the house because it was the first time she had been there.

my grandmother did that, she said she was waiting for bus in the middle of night, but a group of kids way pass their bedtime knew. they said lady. you shouldn't be out here, no bus runs, where you live, and they walked her home.and she was safe. thank God!!!

I'm elderly and happy about it, to many people get bent out of shape for being titled old. We can't be young forever, so just accept it with grace and dignity.

I don’t understand what’s the big deal it’s a person walking down the street carrying her purse.

My mom had dementia pretty far along and was sneaking out between 1 and 3 in the morning. She wears black pants and dark shirts with black shoes and a black purse and all her expensive jewelry. I tried to stop her, but she'd get combative. I eventually had to put her in a memory care facility for her own safety. She has friends there and men she flirts with. And when she gets agitated they give her ice cream. She seems happy now, and at least I know she'll be safe until she goes.

She probably has some dementia. I would call authorities and let them know where she is. They are trained to know what to do. Please realize a dementia person can carry on a normal conversation at times. Five minutes later not even know her name. It’s a horrible disease.

So all you all see this little clip and assume the person just left the lady cause she was confused! How you know they didn’t call the police or went door to door to figure where she lives. Some of you all some of the most half brained folks 🙄oh and did anyone see that orb or is it just me🤔seems Mrs Lady had a angel walking keeping her company

This happened to my husband and I. We took her to the police station. Turns out she had escaped from an Alzheimer's facility.

I help an elderly woman walking up an on ramp to a freeway. She said she was going home ( she actually lived in an assisted living facility). I took her to the police station and they found out where she actually lived.

This looks to me like one of our neighbors who had Alzheimer’s. She would sneak out when her husband was in the shower with her dog & start walking 🙏🏼🤔😲

I was sitting outside and heard some teenage girls tell their friend: an old Lady lives there. It's just different when it's YOU. hahaa I'm 74 y/o, so I guess I qualify👍😆💕

it's very possible SHE WAS IGNORING YOU... SHE DOESN'T KNOW YOU why would she tell you where she lives !! do you think us elderly people are stupid... I go out at 4:00 a.m. with my dog.. I also take care of feral animals... I AM NOT SENILE ... at that time it's quiet... there are no people around.. I can look at the constellations and the Moon... and I would not advise anyone to f*** with me... 😆 peace... stay alert and stay safe it's a rough world out there🙏

When I lived across the street from Lake Michigan I was sitting on the porch and I saw an old lady walking down to the water so I decided to follow her to see where she was going she walked right down to the beach dropped her purse and started to wade into the lake I ran down and stopped her and she begged me to let her go I talked her into coming home with me grabbed her purse and when we got home my Dad called the police inside her purse were all her contacts they found that she lived in assistant living facility a few streets away and they had called to report her missing thank heaven I saw her and got her back safely.

All people with memory issues should have trackers put on them. If we can do it for pets we can do it for people. Could save them from harm.

You can call local police non emergency number. Ask for a “wellness check” . They will help her out. I have a fashionable bracelet had phone number engraved on the backside. Not expensive.

My Irish sister-in-law wrote our address on the toe if my Grandfather's Keds. He was sent outside to sweep in front of the house, it was on a cul de sac, so we caught him on the return. She kept him busy and always kept it fun.

I really hope u called the cops & she got home safe. She may have been so scared! But then again maybe she wasn't cause she was mentally lost & didn't know any better, just wanted to walk. But that's how they go missing & sometimes it ends very badly. So thank you for noticing her & taking care of her.

My Mom had dementia & even though she didn't wander out by herself, if she would have, I would hope that someone like you would watch out for her. Thank you Sir, I truly appreciate you!! 🌸🥰
