I'm amazed that people are shocked by this single savage incident, when at the very same time Nixon and his generals were ordering the unprovoked, unnecessary carpet bombing and napalming of whole villages of non-combat Vietnamese people. The two Bushes killed a million innocent people in Iraq, for even less. Every American who supported those wars has blood on their hands; so quit being so hypocritical.
Sad ! My Uncle was in that war . He would tell me with a nervous laughter that when the helicopter was to heavy transporting Vietnam pprisoners he would have to lighten the copter and he’d push them out in flight! He is really the nicest sweetest man but he had to do what he had to do he said . Survival mode I suppose.

When 50,000 people were killed in Vietnam from the United States of America, it made the soldiers hardened from that type of war, which was a horrible war. It was a war that would never be fought that way today we were just going in and Lavel certain areas and that would be boots on the ground would be easy today compared to what it was back then

Close friends have shared some horrible stories with me about serving in that war. Things one regrets, the others are proud of. All were ugly and unrelated to each other. The truths need to be documented.

I listen to a soldier that was telling a story like this he said him, and his buddy just lost a few friends and one of the friends of the friends that died was really close and the commanding officer made him escort a POW on the way to the escort, the soldier shot and killed the POW in face then peed on his corpse.
They did much worse than that there’s crazies and when you’re drafted, you’re not there because you wanna be in the marijuana and all the booze a lot of shit went down to Vietnam
