Yes there is a dress code for court.Last year I had to go traffic court. Everyone including myself was dressed appropriately.She’s too old to not know any better

It’s nice seeing a competent, no-nonsense judge enforcing court rules. The security and safety of judges and prosecutors is too important for people taking pictures of them. Rules are rules.

Her case, her court, her rules. Unless things have changed, no phones that take pics of record are allowed. You’ll be lucky to get it back once it’s taken.

I just did jury duty. In the meeting, they tell you no provocative clothing, no shorts. And turn your phone off ! You will be sent home.

A courtroom is a public place! You cannot constitutionally say you cannot have a phone in a public place!

in my state the guard is at the door and will not let anyone in that is wearing strapless shirts, spaghetti string shirts,shorts or skirts of any length.. nothing that has bad language or anything dirty on it....anything on the head...n the list goes on... they usually just reschedule if you can't accommodate the dress code...lol

I am surprised that she was even let into the courthouse inappropriately dressed, and have a phone on her. I had to put mine in a locked box before going to the courtroom. Finally, the Judge has every right to be stern with her, nowadays people have found where judges live and killed them or their families in their home! Judges have to be so aware of their surroundings. Abide by the rules and all will be well, otherwise suffer the consequences.

People also take pictures in court of witnesses for witness intimidation and hits. She looks like she's a meth head running errands for her dealer. Who is probably the person in the box. No one should have to worry about getting their picture taken in court or a courthouse. Anyone can be a victim of a hit if this was permissible. Also, when you walk into curt the first thing the deputies say is turn off your phone and put t away. There are all kinds of signs there that say no recording devices, photos or videos taking allowed in the courthouse. Dress code for court and work should be common knowledge but I've interviewed people for corporate positions that dressed for success at a strip club. SMH, people we've got to do better.
Norfolk VA Court Checks All pockets, hats, coats, socks, head wraps, and purses, wallets, and have them take off their belts. 😆 You will have to lock your phone in a locker before going through the detector. No phones are allowed in the courts. 😆
