Throwing flammables into an already lit fire is so dangerous. Too many end up scared for life, not to mention the excruciating pain that comes with it.

this guy doesn't have any visible fire fighting equipment..hose, shovel, friends to help contain this fire...maybe he's NOT TRYING to set the forest aflame, but he's ill prepared to control it.

Do not ever throw flammable liquid at a fire. It’s a great way to get engulfed in flames.

He is wasting alot of usable firewood. It would be better if he just let people come and get what they want from the pile. In doing that he is helping reduce waste and making the pile smaller and reducing the labor. 🤔👍

I once smelled something like electrical wires burning outside one evening. It became thicker. I called our local fire department and they came out. The fire chief told me that a neighbor just down the street was burning junk, including electrical equipment, in a 50 gallon drum. He showed me how it was registering and that's how they found where the fire originated. I don't know if they were fined or even if they knew or didn't know it was illegal to burn that, but the fire chief explained it to them. What prompted me to call the FD was not just the smell and smoke, but little particles "snowing". The smell was bad. I didn't want them to get in trouble. I just wanted to know what was going on so that our subdivision didn't all go afire.

Looked like used oil. NEVER use gasoline to start a fire! Very dangerous! Use diesel, it will burn but it doesn’t blow up like gas.

That’s not smart — fire can follow the liquid back to the bucket in his hand. Throw the whole bucket or not at all.

I had a big pile to burn. Dumped 5 gallons of used oil on top. Then had 5 gallons of gas. Put 4 gallons on gas on top then used the other gallon to make a trail away from the pile for 60’. Lit it. Fire ran down the trail to the pile. The whole pile jumped off the ground. Rattled the windows in the area
