White privilege exists I see at my job everyday I seen white guys get away with sh that if any other race did they would of been fired on the spot and it’s not the work ethic that keeps them there is some white guys at my job that work hard and will work all day without complaining but most of them cry whenever we have a busy day
🤔 It’s not a matter of what we can or can’t do… it’s about the treatment we receive. For example, people that know me know that I’m a person of good character that wouldn’t cause them any harm. But strangers may view me as a “big, black dude” which causes some people to be intimidated. If it was a white person in the same setting, it’d be easier for other white people to let their guard down. If a young white person went to a clothing store, they’d often times receive better service. If a young black person entered that same store, they may not receive the same quality of service because the employee may assume that they will rob, steal or can’t afford the products in the store. People with common names are quicker to receive job opportunities over someone with a more ethnic name. Black people have to work twice as hard to show that we’re of good character. These things are harder for white people to understand because they don’t live in a black person’s shoes. It is what it is 🤷🏿
