Why are you going to the police as a Journalist and then being weirdly defensive when asked for ID. With all the dangers facing the police today I think this is wrong and they have every rite to ask for ID
Sean… take your ass home . You are being a freaking nuisance, regardless of your legal rights . What if someone stood on the public streets in front of your home and just filmed ppl going in and out? You rightful expectation of privacy ends when you walk outside your door.
I have a hard time with his videos…. He’s trying to show his rights at the same time he’s being a smart ass. I’ve got a lot of patience, but as a cop, I would have a hard time dealing with this person.

Needs to be a law passed re: considered trespassing unless you have legitimate business or your presence has been requested. These so-called, independently journalist are getting out of hand. Go to the areas where drug deals and human trafficking is going on. That’s a story.

To anyone that thinks that's OK, it's not.There are other people working in that building that also want to keep their lives and be safe and go home to their families.They don't need some weirdo walking around in the lobby that shouldn't be there for no purpose and won't state what he's there for. You don't just go start recording and hang out for no reason.In the police department or city hall and not answer questions , but ask everybody else in interrogate them. Terrorism, including the domestic version is a real concern. Why be a jerk about it. Being deliberately evasive is going to set off their "Spidey sense"... While you have a 1st Ammendment right, this could also have bad end results. Desensitized security can cost lives.
I'm all for the constitution and I'm definitely voting RED religiously... HOWEVER... these videos are slightly getting annoying. It's the same M.O. every single time. Guy walks in knowingly makes an awkward presence by staying totally silent while going past service windows and desks, aiming a camera in everyone's faces unwilling to answer any questions and when confronted by fear and curiosity, they suddenly turn into independent journalists with a fake theme of gathering content for a "story" when in reality the only "story" is how they miraculously became a victim and their rights were violated while researching a public building. If these goofballs would just come in and say "hey, I'm not here to cause issues, just going to film a couple of things for a story I'm working on and I'll be on my way!" it would be a better overall experience. Granted, it's not mandatory to say what your doing but it takes away the escalation of fearing the unknown.

I don't always like these videos either however I agree with the intent.... So many people just cowar not knowing their rights, these videos not only educate the American people but also educate law officials who like infringing on a citizens rights! These videos truly do show you your police officers and sheriff's that should be training most of the force!!! Those of you that have a problem with this try watching one where they leave the person to their journalism (which is a right afforded to them by our Constitution), instead of calling for uniform back-up!! And I for one salute THOSE officers!!
