Why are so many of you people hell bent on making President Trump seem like the worst man to ever exist? And why is it assumed that the USA has to bend over backwards and accommodate everyone who isn’t from here? We don’t anyone anything and yet people are so entitled. If we go to another country, we are responsible to learn their language. So stop trying to imply that the president is doing something wrong or illegal. It’s not as if these people are showing up and nobody is helping them to navigate the system because almost every place of business, colleges, government departments all have interpreters in addition to all reading materials and application forms in other languages. Can’t you think logically for once or you all just out there being a sheeple? Lastly, making the English language our official language is just like making the American Eagle our national Bird or the flag our national flag. Sometimes I just don’t understand the level of ignorance that exists among us.

This is America if you want to live here, learn to speak the language, I certainly don’t expect other countries to conform to my language.
I work in the emergency room for almost 15yrs. A Hispanic woman came to me at the triage desk and speaking only Spanish. I said I do not speak Spanish and she needed to get a family member to translate, which she did. So she did understand English apparently a little bit anyways. So I ask for her insurance care and she was on state insurance. she handed it to me and I noticed that it was soon to expire. I said to her have you been on this long, and the translator told me she has been on it for 41years. I said do you have any other history of illness, the translator told me no she does not. So you see why it's easy to why people get upset with this. She doesn't speak English, on state insurance for 41yrs and I asked because of her illness what she does for work, the translator said "She does not work because nobody would hire her because she can communicate in English. common!

My parents knew when they immigrated in the '50s and '60s (respectively), that they needed to know English. they already had some basics down but they went to classes to perfect their language capabilities, got married, became citizens, and me and my little brother, found two businesses, employed a lot of people, and they retired very well. they didn't need a politician telling them that English was the official language, they knew from the moment they decided to make this their nation that English was the language of business and our government. It's ridiculous to walk into the DMV and see 16 different languages being represented. Try to do that in most other countries. They'd laugh at you.
