I know they're speeding but they could have at least given them a warning with a sign or something.. that's the very definition of a booby trap.. why is it against the law for a homeowner to booby trap his home, but it's perfectly legal for a cop to put down a temporary speed bump where they're probably were none and the locals can't anticipate.. sounds illegal to me unless they have signs of no speeding or bump ahead

I don't think the speed bump should be banned but I think there should be a sign forewarning that a speed pump is coming up. Speed bumps are a device to encourage people to slow down and therefore I don't think the speed bump needs to be banned.

The speed bumps are made to allow you to continue over them at the posted speed limit,.you only go airborne if exceeding the limit.

Motorcyclists don't deserve to die because of a stupid speed bump on a city road where it's not expected. The city will change its mind after lawsuits due to injured/hospitalized vehicle occupants, deceased motorcyclists and damaged vehicles. Dumb idea city council.

whenever a city installs a speed bump they will put white letters to indicate people and sign to indicate the people that there is a speed bump ahead if they fail to recognize that then that's their problem they should not be speeding to begin with
What's the problem? They blow off the speed limit and get bounced over a speed bump...lesson learned!
There are two types of sped bumps. One is the aggressive one that you saw. The other one is more gradual speed hump which is what most cities use because of liability issues.
To be fair, the car that got air was going over twice the speed limit.

They should get sued. The bump isn't painted yellow, and there are no signs. Going the speed limit and hitting this will damage your car.
