Kids have to grow up too fast now
My child stopped going to public school after they had trauma from re-enacted school shooting drills meant as safety drills. The kids hid and were even taught to use fake blood from other kids pretending to be shot to fake their deaths. They did safety drills 1-2 times a month. Once I knew how intense these were and they would not stop my kids started distance learning. Best decision ever! Better education, no bulky issues, no worry of gunmen or drills causing trauma. They still socialize with kids and are years ahead of their peers.
