this video is the truth. I just changed the oil in my girls mother's car because I'm talking to her and I hear its kind of rough sounding and a slight slight tick. this is a brand new car that has 18,000 miles on it. I go to check the oil and pull the dipstick out and not only is there zero oil on the dipstick there was burnt oil up to the low point on the stick. I open the cap and there is smoke coming out of the fill hole so I'm like oh no man. changed it for and there was slightly less than a quart of oil in it and it came out the consistency of honey. this video is no bs. they do this man and then when it burns up there gonna ask you can you fix it. then get mad at you when you tell them it's not worth fixing that they just need a new car😂wtf man 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I took my Nissan Murano to Jiffy Lube for a signature oil change, never again! They did not put any oil in, I drove around for about two weeks and everything lite up on the dashboard from check engine to several OB codes! I changed all the parts wasted my money when there was no oil on the dipstick that triggered all the issues! Never trust anyone other than the dealership

My dad taught me how to change my oil when I was a teenager in the 90s. Many places try to rip off customers by either not completing or only partially completing an oil change.

🤣🤣🤣 how? How can you never check your fluids? Don’t the dash lights blink and yell at you when low? I wouldn’t know cause I check my fluids 2-3x a week. I commute, Seattle traffic sucks, I never have to add anything but washer fluid lol

I can relate, when I was working and sent out of town for a few days to a week my wife would run the car and not pay attention to the gages when I would get home and check it was always down to the end of the dipstick if not even lower she burned out two cars till had my brother stop by and check it 2 to 3 times a week while I was gone 🤔🤔😲😆😆😆 but gotta Love her anyway 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👍

once again, common sense is a necessary element to be able to function in today's society.. anybody that drives an automobile and too stupid to know that it requires oil and gas. they don't have no business driving anything. they're a danger to society. we can't have people this stupid walking around. somebody needs to educate them..

Change your oil every 3,000 miles.....don't give a shiiiit less about what the manufacturer or any other says...oil filters life is 3,000.... why do you think that pil filters have a bypass system built in?????

conventional (otherwise known as "old school") oil for older motors (like, prior to about 2000; Maybe '03 to '04, depending on the manufacturer): change every 3,000 miles; Maybe 3,500 miles if driven the majority of the time out on the highways At Highway Speeds. *Synthetic-Blend: I still changed conservatively at 4 - 5,000 miles; again w/driving out on the highways. **Full Synthetic: the jury's still out on that, as I -for very "cheap insurance reasons"- change every 7,500 miles; due to the condensation that collects up here (due to our Brutal Minnesota Winters), and all of the "short-trips" & "start-stops" of our driving conditions & habits.

My ex-husband was like this to his vehicles. I had to get on him to check & replenish the fluids. I made sure my daughter would not be irresponsible with her vehicle this way.

That happened to the wife's minivan. Not a drop came out. Smoked after refilling oil. I think she knows how to check the oil now.

The oil was already drained. If he was a mechanic then he would have known that no oil was coming out by the time he moved over the bucket, as loose as the plug was and also the the position that he moved the bucket, if there was oil it would have over shot the bucket.

I've got the gauge for my oil level and it has the needle which shows the level going down to just about the end of my oil. Just got it changed Friday morning and it's up to the very top, in 3,000-5,000 miles I'll have it changed again, also my tires get rotated that same of time. the real only issue I've got is my truck doesn't have a transmission dip stick like my oil has,I've never had a vehicle that didn't have both
