Great idea! I always cut from the sides with three cuts across the cake the sizes are perfect serving pieces and so easy, I learned this from a French baker. I’ll try it this way and see if serves the same amount as the way I do it.

That’s got to be a HUGE cake for those to be decent sized slices. I would prefer a small piece like that. 99% of people disagree with me, and prefer a large slice. And, I get it. If you’re going to eat cake, eat a meals worth! Personally, my body doesn’t like the fat and sugar, and more than a small portion could make me feel bad. Lupus. 🤷‍♀️
