The Ottoman Empire gave up that land after they committed the Armenian genocide and joined the central powers in ww1. The palestinians literally never owned nor governed the land that is now Isreal. Then the palestinians and syrian terrorists tried to blockade and stop water flow into Isreal, leading to the 6 day war, and the terrorists have been crying about it ever since. every government understood that land was not the Palestinians but was Britain's to do with as they pleased and they rightfully gave it to the displaced Jewish people after WW2.
