In total, at least 174 individuals who participated in the riot have pled guilty to assaulting law enforcement. In the aftermath of the attack, five officers died, including Officer Brian Sicknick, who died the following day from a stroke, and four others who died by suicide. 2.7 Million in just property damage. The cost of the insurrection to taxpayers ended up totaling $2.7 billion, according to a Government Accountability Office (GAO) report from July 2023.
