In AZ there's this ostrich farm and they have this huge truck and take people on rides and one of the owners was taking us around the farm and showed us this huge rattlesnake and they said even though it's been dead for a few years she was telling everyone not to touch the head because the teeth still have venom they keep it in fridge or freezer to show people and explain what to do if you come across one dead or alive it was very interesting

As someone who has welded for years, you cant see anything through some if those shields. You get tunnel visioned on your work and your overall awareness is very diminished. Add that to not being a huge fan of snakes muchless rattlesnakes 😲 id of hadca heart attack...

One of my employees pulled a similar stunt on me in Enid,Ok around 1982.Knew I would start my day welding a 10” pipe flange on a mud pit,put a dead rattlesnake in the flange.Hope he enjoyed it because for the next month he got all the dirty work😂

I heard they don’t die until the sun goes down . I do know for a fact and that is you can place a dead snake on a pole and no other animal will come around . I absolutely do not like snakes . I’ve killed a lot of copperheads and will keep killing them .

The old adage was: Snakes don't die till sunset. Chased a 3.5' Rattlesnake around my yard Thanksgiving Day, 1991. Finally got it stopped with a tree saw & had a friend hold it down while I took a shovel & cut it's head off. Had 7 rattles!!!
I would of injured myself trying to avoid it.

It's a Western Diamondback (crotalus atrox) Someone either ran it over or killed it and set it on the steel next to this welder while his shield was down. All you can see thru that shield is the weld in progress

NOT THE KIND OF JOKE ANYONE SHOULD PLAY WITH A RATTLE SNAKE. THEY CAN STILL BE DANGEROUS FOR HOURS AFTER THEY ARE KILLED. WHEN WE KILLED ONE WE WOULD PUT IT ON A FENCE OR HANG OFF A TREE & THEIR BODY WOULD STILL TWIST & TURN UNTIL THE SUN WENT DOWN. WE NEVER TOUCHED THEM WITHOUT HEAVY THICK GLOVRES BCUZ THEIR BODY WOULD STILL MOVEME FOR A LONG TIME. MY DAD WORKED ON A DAIRY FARM & THERE WERE MANY AROUND WHERE THE COWS ROMED. I USUALLY RODE THE HORSE WHEN I WENT OUT TO GATHER THE COWS FOR MILKING IT WASN'T UNSUAL TO SEE A RATTEL SNAKE OUT THERE. WE LEARNEX TO ALWAYS LOOK WHERE WE WALKED. LUCKILY NONE OF US NEVER GOT BITTEN BY A RATTLE SNAKE BUT THE OTHER MILK HANDS WIFE DID. SHE SURVIVED. THANK GOD.

Had a guy tie a dead one to the pop up lid on his truck tool box, and then send a helper to get a tool. Actually had a couple guys quit lol.😆😆😆😆
