It’s sad that Charlie was shot and killed. To make it worse, his wife and kids watched it unfold. For me, that seems terrible. As for Kimmel, he, too, should have free speech. Wait…wait..wait..before you answer with anger, read. He should have freedom of speech and he does. What he shouldn’t have is the ability to manipulate and goad people into political theater. Late night tv was reserved for light hearted banter, usually by comedians who didn’t dip a toe into politics. It had no place. In an era where the internet and media heads indoctrinate millions, he could have so easily rose above it and simply made a tv late night show where people could watch and enjoy without anyone even knowing his political stance. Johnny Carson did it and made it look easy. Jimmy certainly could have kept his opinions to himself and still grown his audience. Instead, just as SNL has done, he decided it was better to spread the liberal message. This is causation becoming of a man who had shortsightedness
