Maybe this mom has no support. And just because she might have “family” who pretend to care about her and give her financial support doesn’t mean she has support. Maybe she has not been taught what taking care of herself really is. She may have been body shamed her whole life by all those around her and it didn’t get any better when she went to school. Our assessment of healthy bmi is just plain wrong. Or maybe he is the one suffering from lack of proper support. Hard to say until we start campaigning for change. All people care about is losing weight or staying skinny. It’s sad. And doctors and therapists just think drugs cure everything.
