I know it's FORBIDDEN to share here in Colorado. I was spoken to several times by admin. I told them I wasn't going to have my son's friend starve. After all, a child can't learn if they're hungry. They made a big deal about allergies, religion, and not having the child's name on the lunch, etc., which I understand. However, the child is always at my house. So I purchased brown bags, a Sharpie, and made a whole additional lunch. I made sure the child's name was on it. My son said not to put a name on it. He would keep it in his backpack with a Sharpie, and write the name of whatever student was missing a lunch. It got to the point that he was grabbing extra bags and sandwich bags to separate items into bags to share with more than one student. When we kept getting questioned, we would just smile. We met all the required requests, separate bags with names on them.
It could be possible in the the Us but read the comments see what folks saying the US is full of hateful and negative folks! They dint believe in it takes a village!
It would be a blessing if that happened here

I had a teacher that would bring a bag lunch with just a couple of sandwiches and a apple. in it she kept it in her desk and she would watch to make sure all the kids were OK and were eating. if someone didn't have a lunch she would take them aside and give them the bag. I know because I received the bag once I left mine on the bus. I told my mom about it and she sent a thank you note to her along with a extra lunch.

My mother used to put extra in our lunches and told us to give it to any child that didn't have a lunch. I also did it with my kids.👍

I love this 🥰💕 these days when my kids have field trips that require payment they send a note stating what the trip is and how much and suggests to donate a little if you have the ability so no child gets left behind and it also says if you dont have the funds to pay to contact the school and let them know. they really try to be sure kids dont feel left out just because they are from a low income families. I remember as a kid getting left behind on field trips and how bummed I was.
